about me

Hello! I'm Apoorva, a research data scientist at Tatonetti Lab in the Cedars-Sinai Computational Biology Department. My research interests include drug repurposing methods for rare diseases and applying LLMs to various biomedical and healthcare applications. Previously, I was with Intervenn, a liquid biopsy startup, where I developed machine learning algorithms for early cancer detection using glycoproteomics data. I also worked at Columbia University, researching digital phenotyping of depression through passive sensor data from smartphones. I hold a Master's degree in Biostatistics from Columbia University and a degree in Biotech Engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology.

When I'm not serving my cat, Softmax, I also teach yoga and I love to read. You can connect with me on Twitter or LinkedIn.
